Q: Can a medium capacity transformer convert DC voltage?

A: It's not possible. The capacity transformer in this series is a power frequency AC transformer, which is only suitable for AC voltage conversion and cannot directly convert DC voltage. If it is necessary to convert DC voltage, it is necessary to use industrial grade rectifiers, inverters and other equipment to convert DC voltage into AC voltage, and then transform it through this transformer; Alternatively, industrial grade DC converters can be directly selected to avoid equipment damage.

Q: How to choose a medium capacity transformer with appropriate capacity? Do we need to reserve a margin?

A: The selection of capacity should be based on the total power of the load. For medium power scenarios, it is recommended to reserve a margin of 30% to 50% to avoid overload and peak power impact. ① Calculate total load power: Add up the rated power of all devices that need to be powered (unit: W). If motor equipment is included, additional calculation of starting power is required (motor starting power is usually 3-5 times the rated power); ② Choose transformer capacity: Transformer capacity (VA) ≥ total load power (W) × (1+30%~50%). Q: Is it normal for the transformer to generate heat during operation? How to ensure the heat dissipation effect?
